Death's crimson maiden, the blood of Garuda's foes imbue her with strength and vitality.
Just some clarifying questions about how the mods affect abilities. Duration mods = Are drain abilities affected by this? So like Banshee's Sound Quake or Ember's World on Fire, if I have a mod like Fleeting Expertise that gives -60% duration, it wouldn't affect these abilities at all? Efficiency mods = Do they affect the efficiency of drain as well? Feb 23, 2019 look for the list of mods sections, find a mod that does what you are looking for, then the look up the mods for more info (the page for the mod contains drop chance and who or what drops it.) I can't really give you good advice because i have no idea what you have or are looking for besides 'strength mods'. Nov 12, 2018 Maximized Ability Duration reduces channeling cost to 0.98 energy per second. Reduces range to 5.1 meters.; Maximized Ability Efficiency reduces activation cost to 12.5 energy and channeling cost to 0.75 energy per second. Has no negative effects on this ability. Maximized Ability Range increases range to 42 meters. Reduces damage to 160 per explosion and status chance to 14%. This is a DPS/Survivability build that aims to make the most out of Garuda's passive, which buffs all damage by 100% when HP is at 2% (why other popular builds don't make the most of this is weird, a big waste)

The combination of Quick Thinking, Primed Flow, Umbral Fiber, and Adaptation allow you to stay at 2 HP basically forever and maintain Garuda's 100% all damage buff without having to worry about getting 1-hit.
It appears that the stagger from Quick Thinking is gone in the Warframe Revised update, so Handspring is used to reduce knockdown time. If for some reason Quick Thinking's stagger comes back, replace Handspring with Pain Threshold. Or use Primed Sure Footed if you have it for the best of both worlds.

Play-style
Always have a blood shield up (made easier with the added duration), and be constantly draining to stay at 2 HP. Spam her 4th ability (while at 2 HP) and the blood ball from her shield (or melee like I do). When you start to get near 200 energy, pop a blood altar and drain yourself back up to max energy. This effectively gives infinite energy. Rinse and repeat.

This objectively gives her more damage output and survivability than using any combination of Adaptation without Quick Thinking. Here's how:
-Primed Flow gives 600 energy
-Primed Flow gives 600 energy
-Max Quick Thinking effectively gives you 1440 HP from energy while allowing you to always stay at 2 HP for the damage buff
-Umbral Fiber effectively halves incoming damage which, when factored into the 1440 HP from Quick Thinking, gives you somewhere around 3500 HP with Quick Thinking active
-Adding in Arcane Guardian further boosts armor to an insane degree, almost impossible to die if you use her other abilities
-Some clarification on why I don't use other mod combos: Adaptation by itself takes time to build up and you can be 1-hit before it gets to max power. Even if you modded her base health to be 1200 with Umbral Vitality, Adaptation would only boost that to 2300 and you wouldn't have her 100% damage boost, and you would not have the armor buff from Umbral Fiber. Putting all 3 Umbral mods on Garuda would be a huge waste as you lose over half of your mods points for only 3 mods. You would not have enough room left to make effective use out of the rest of her kit, and Vitality is useless for her passive anyway.
Strength is, of course, above 200% to make the most use out of her 4th ability. Going much higher than that isn't really needed, especially if you're always at 2 HP like you should be.
Duration is slightly buffed to give you a bit more time to kill enemies marked with her 4th ability, and also gives her blood shield a bit more up-time.
Range isn't touched since you don't want to spend too much time in her blood altar as you'll want to be at as low health as possible once you get your energy back up. Also Range doesn't affect her 4th ability, so its not really needed after she got her 1 and 2 abilities range buffed.
Natural Talent makes her 4th ability a lot faster to pop off and easier to spam, along with all her other abilities.

Happy Hunting
When Mesa was released near the end of 2014, she quickly became one of the most wanted Warframes in the game. She comes equipped with a really strong set of abilities and her own pair of guns. She is a real and can deal a lot of damage in a short amount of time, making her one of the best (or maybe even the best!) DPS Warframes in the game. She is often used in a lot of different missions and she even shines during credit farm missions or on the Plains of Eidolon, making her a great bounty hunter. To deal a lot of damage you need to invest some hours of playtime, but she’ll be worth it!
If you are looking for tips and tricks on how to farm the component blueprints needed to craft Mesa, we recommend hopping over to our ‘How to get Mesa’ guide and read through that!
Pros
Pros
- High damage output
- Slightly higher health pool than average
- Fast and agile
- Useful in a lot of missions
- Important part of farm groups
- Fun to play
Cons
Cons
- Slightly lower shields than average
- Needs some Forma to be strong
- Requires well modded Warframe weapon
- Low energy pool
The different builds
Choosing the Naramon polarity for your aura slot is always right when playing Mesa. You either want to pick if you are playing in a premade group setup with a Trinity (or if you are willing to drop some Group Energy Restores) or you choose
in order to get some energy regeneration while doing the mission. You can theoretically think about using or , but generally speaking they can’t really compete with the other two auras. A big part of Mesa are her Regulators (her Warframe weapons) which came with Update 23. Now you have to mod your Warframe weapons and also probably invest some Forma in them.

The Regulator Setup
First of all let’s talk about Mesa’s weapons: The Regulators belong to the group of secondary weapons and therefor you need to use your pistol mods. Getting a lot of Critical Damage (with
) and Critical Chance (with ) is very beneficiary for your damage output and for the same reason you should get , and . From there on out it’s all up to you. Since the Warframe weapons come with two Naramon polarities, picking (or its primed version) seems okay. is another great add, but you can pick , or as well. Even and is a good combo. Feel free to experiment a bit and find the best suited build for your situation.

Main Build: Peacemaker Mesa
Mesa’s main build is centered around her ultimate ability Peacemaker, which allows her to get insanely focused and use her skills to quickly gun down every enemy in her sight. Peacemaker may well be the best DPS skill in the game and will allow you to decimate even high level enemies in a matter of seconds. You want to get a lot of ability strength and efficiency to deal a lot of damage without draining your whole – already pretty small – energy pool. Getting some range is also a good idea, because you will be able to shoot down more mobs thanks to the bigger angle. Duration isn’t really needed unless you plan on using your Shatter Shield ability as your only survival outlet.
If you don’t want to use your third ability (or your other abilities for that matter) at all, you can switch out for something like (make sure you have a Trinity in your group!) or . Another advice: You don’t need to stay in Peacemaker forever. It’s often useful to drop out of your ultimate ability and restart it again to get a better overview and to kill more enemies in a short amount of time. You might even want to think about using Mesa’s Waltz for some movability.
Flashing Muzzle Build
This build is more on the casual side of things and won’t allow you to be as overpowered as in the main build. To be fair, you probably won’t your ultimate ability that often. But by using and your second ability Shooting Gallery you will be able to spread some really strong crowd control – unless you play against the Infested, because then this build will not be as useful. But blinding your enemies and disabling their weapons is really strong and also viable on Axi or even Sortie level missions. Just make sure to pick missions where you and your team mates stay together – defense, survival camping or excavation come to mind.
Warframe Power Strength Mods
In order to be as efficient as possible you want this build to have a lot of ability range (as much as you can get) and a good amount of duration. Efficiency isn’t really needed and if you don’t want to buff your allies’ damage output, you can simply drop the for another survival mod. Just make sure to keep your ability up all the time and you’ll be surprised by the amount of damage reduction this build provides for your group!
Conclusion
Warframe Mod Drop List
Mesa has a super high damage output, good movement, inbuilt survival abilities and once you’ve understood how to beat the Mutalist Alad V Assassination mission, farming her is pretty easy. She is very important for a lot of farming setups and you can probably play her in almost every mission. But you should expect to sink some Forma in her and her weapons before becoming overpowered. You also need some decent mods, making her not the perfect Warframe for beginners. But farming her and the mods is worth it and will help you to progress faster through the game. She is also super fun to play!
